Get programming using these two GUI based languages

Two of the most popular and easy to use programs for getting started in programming have to be MIT’s Scratch and Microsoft’s Kodu. Both programs are free to download and offer pupils the chance to get programming using a Graphic User Interface (GUI) focused on drag and drop coding blocks. Get them by clicking the logos below and access the tutorials to get your head around your first steps in teaching programming – have fun!

Also check our Computing Curriculum (http://primarycomputing.co.uk/a-computing-curriculum/) for a skills progression using the programs and instructions for teachers on how to teach for these skills.
